Winter Newsletter – December ‘08

Everyone should periodically check the websites for new information.

ANNUAL MEETING
The annual mandatory meeting will be held at Grewen Hall on the campus of LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY on Saturday, January 17, 2009. (As always the 3^rd Saturday in January.)  Doors will open at 10:45 AM. The meeting for 1^st year officials will be held at 11 AM. The normal meeting will be held at Noon and end no later than 4 PM.

DUES
Annual dues for 2009 will be $55. Dues must be paid no later than the meeting or prior by mail to the Treasurer:

Make checks payable to the UNYCBUA.

MEMBERSHIP STATUS
Active status in the organization is maintained by attendance at the annual meeting and payment of annual dues. Anyone that wishes to be placed in inactive status for the year must notify our Secretary, Carmen Perrotti carm@cnyfire.com . Inactive dues are $27.50 for 2009 and must be paid to the Treasurer (see above).

UNIFORMS
Now is the time to inventory your equipment and uniforms and take advantage of the any supplier specials. Check the UNYCBUA website www.unycbua.com for supplier links and the CBUAO website www.cbuao.com for links to Nick’s embroidered shirts, pants, etc.

IMPORTANT: this year all Div I, II, III and NJCAA conference games will require the black embroidered CBUAO uniform. The UNYCBUA will not be taking bulk hat orders as in the past – all hat orders have to be made directly with the CBUAO (see order form on Nick’s website).

2009 RULE CHANGES
Get a leg up on the new rule modifications. See the UNYCBUA website for a link to the changes.

You can also find a link for ordering the 2009 CCA Mechanics Manual. This is a must have reference manual as it is the nationwide NCAA standard for 2-3 and 4 man mechanics.

Everyone will receive the 2009 rulebook at the annual meeting (if dues are paid).

RUBBING MUD
Anyone who needs mud for the upcoming season should notify George Cox via email Gjamescox@aol.com

 SPRING AVAILABILITY
The spring availability entry deadline for the CBAUO on line system was Dec 1, 2008. If you missed the deadline you must notify Nick Zibelli. See the CBUAO website for details. (If you didn’t know about it - you haven’t been checking the CBUAO website for notification bulletins!)

ON-LINE ROSTER
You will receive notification when the new 2009 on-line roster www.unycbua.com has been posted on the website (sometime around mid-December). After that please verify your information and send any updates to the on-line roster to Carm Perrotti via email after posting. Remember to also verify your personal information on the CBUAO website (a different database).

ELECTIONS
The Constitution calls for the election of the Vice-President and two members of the advisory board this year.

The Advisory board will nominate Chris Marshall for Vice-President and Ken Fuerst and Carm Perrotti for the Advisory Board. Any members wishing to be considered for these positions should contact Carm Perrotti.
